Here's one I've been playing back to back the last few days. It's an eight song album and before you know it, it's over leaving you wanting more. Elijah Blake truly gives us a small, elegant and tasteful musical trinket with "Bijoux 22". This is a nice R&B album that feels good from the grabbing prodction to the soft tone of his voice. The passion that was picked up through the recording makes you feel each high-note sung, and he really creates vivid images with his story of love and relations. This may be his debut self-titled project, but he's collaborated with some of my favorite artists such as Keyshia Cole on her recent project "Woman to Woman" and Rihanna's "Unapologetic" album release and several other major artists. If Frank Ocean really gives up music as being speculated all over the infamous rumor circuit, Elijah Blake will slide right in and fill that void. Either way Elijah Blake will be everywhere pretty soon. He's got a good team behind him. Standout tracks for me were, "Birdz", "Runnin' Blind" and "Vicky's Secret" produced by one of my fav producers, Trakmatik. "X.O.X." featuring Common is a goodie too lol. Actually, they are all really good. Alright, well get into the Music.
