This playlist was lots of fun because it was pretty meaningful to me for a couple reasons. It was my birthday month, so it has all the trap, rap birthday anthems that are heavy in the club. This playlist also marks a pivotal point in my life because when my birthday month was over I realized why do I have to be excited like this just during my birthday month. So, in the words of Teyana Taylor, I kept that same energy for everyday I’m living and breathing. Life should be celebrated because we have survived soooooo much. I’m just VERY grateful everyday I wake up and take my first deep breaths. I must admit it feels great to celebrate everyday! Ooooh and I also felt this show integrated more indie artists, which is getting back to my roots of Really Not Radio. This next playlist I drop will have wayyyy less mainstream music because I’m finally able to get back into my headphones and dig the internets. I’m excited. I hope you are too. Love you guys!

We come together because of the Music and explore various topics through conversation InPlaces in the greater Los Angeles area and beyond. What I really enjoy about this show is that the artist sends me the artist and title of songs that have made an impact or influenced them to-date. Then, I arrange them throughout our conversation to give you the music where art imitates life. It never fails that the artist selects displays the depth of their artistry. It's a truly remarkable phenomenon. I love it. True artists are dope selectors period.
